Alkalinity Increaser is also called Sodium Bicarbonate and is used in pool and hot tubs to increase the total alkalinity level in the water.
The ideal TA level for pools and spas is between 80 and 150mg/litre (ppl). When the TA level is below 80mg/l (ppm) the pH level can fluctuate widely and the water can be corrosive, leading to damage to pool finish and support equipment.
