The most common way to kill bacteria in your pool and keep your swimming pool water healthy is to use chlorine. Before using chlorine, it is important to have a correct water balance first. Once this has been achieved, chlorine levels between 1.0-3.0 mg/l should be satisfactory to preserve bacteria free swimming pool water. There are two ways to tell if your pool is a well-managed chlorine treated swimming pool is that it will have no odour and the level of chloramines will be less than 0.5 mg/l. Here at Cascade Pools we have a wide range of swimming pool chemicals for you to choose from to suit your swimming pool requirements.

Suitable for many different pool sizes
Stabilised to prevent chlorine loss to sunlight
Prior to using this product adjust the pH level to the ideal range 7.2 – 7.6 as this floater releases chlorine slowly over a period of 3 – 5 weeks depending on water flow prior to its use
Chlorine levels should be maintained between 1 – 3ppm

As a guide, the 720g floating dispenser will treat pools between 1500 – 5000 gallons. The 1.5kg floating dispenser will treat pools between 5000 – 20000 gallons.

Application Instructions: Cut the two perforated sections of the label marked with ‘scissors-cut’. Choose your setting depending on the size of the pool and the chlorine level required. If chlorine levels are outside the recommended range of 1 to 3ppm – either too high or too low, then adjust the dispenser base to expose more or fewer tablets to water flow.

Place the floating dispenser in an upright position in the pool and hold for a few seconds until the cartridge fills with water before releasing to float on the pool surface. Do not submerge the dispenser completely and block the vent holes.

The dispenser will tip over on its side when the contents have dissolved. A tilting dispenser is an indication that it will need replacing soon and the chlorine level output is reducing.
